The Chris Robinson Travel Show on CJAD 800 Official Rules & Regulations

  1. Subject to applicable laws, these rules govern all aspects of and bind all participants in the News Talk Radio CJAD 800’s “Chris Robinson Travel Show Contest”. Copies of these rules are available at CJAD, 1411 Fort Street, Montreal, H3H 2R1.
  2. The contest is open to all residents of Quebec 18 years of age and older, with exception to employees, representatives and agents of Astral Media, Chris Robinson Associates, the Travel Show Sponsor company(ies), their suppliers, and members of the respective immediate families of such employees, representatives and agents, and any person with whom they are domiciled.
  3. No purchase is necessary to enter.
  4. The contest begins on the Monday prior to the Saturday show broadcast. The last day to enter the contest by email or online is the Friday prior to the Saturday show, before 10:00 pm. The last day to enter the contest by phone is the Saturday of the show by 11.55 am. Listeners may enter by email, online or by phone.
  5. Online entries:
    Listeners may enter the contest on line at www.chrisrobinsontravelshow.ca. Their entry must include a question on the destination featured in this weeks’ show. The destination is featured on the CJAD and Chris Robinson Travel Show websites and is promoted periodically on air during the contest period. If their question is read live on-air during the show, the listener is entered into the contest.
  6. Phone entries:
    Listeners may phone in to the CJAD studio line (514-790-0991, or 1-800-491-2523 or cellular *8255) during the CJAD “Chris Robinson Travel Show” which airs 11am – 12 noon on Saturdays. If their call is selected they must ask a question live on air on the destination featured in this week’s show. The destination is featured on the CJAD and Chris Robinson Travel Show websites and is promoted periodically on air during the contest period. If their question is broadcast live on-air during the show, the listener is entered into the contest.
  7. At the end of the show one of the contest entries is selected. This listener is called back at approximately 11.55 to 12 noon. The listener must answer the phone with the specific winning phrase for that week. This winning phrase is given out during the Saturday CJAD “Chris Robinson Travel Show” between 11 am and 12 noon. If in the opinion of the Travel Show hosts, and at their sole discretion, the contestant has answered with a close approximation to the winning phrase, they are awarded the prize.
  8. If the listener does not answer the phone with the winning phrase then they are deemed not to have won and an alternative contest entry will be selected immediately. The prize will be awarded when a listener selected as a contest entry answers a call with the correct winning phrase.
  9. There will be 1 grand prize winner only
  10. Contestants who submit a question online are automatically entered to win further prizes. Multiple entries are permitted. Prizes and draw dates will be published on www.chrisrobinsontravelshow.ca.
    - Potential winners will be selected by random draw, which will take place at 36 Binscarth Rd, Toronto, ON, M4W 1Y1.
    - Potential winners will be notified via email and telephone, from all valid email addresses and telephone numbers entered online.
    - The selected entrants will be contacted by email and telephone. At least three (3) attempts to contact each of the selected entrants by email and phone will be made within the fourteen (14) days following the prize draw.
    - If a selected entrant cannot be contacted in that time, another selected entrant will be chosen and the initial selected entrant will have no further recourse towards Astral Media, Chris Robinson Associates Inc or anyone involved in the contest.
    - In order to win, all selected entrants must first correctly answer a time limited, arithmetical, skill-testing question to be administered by telephone (or email).
  11. Each prize must be accepted as awarded with no exceptions. Prize will not be substituted or redeemable for its cash value. The grand prize must be taken as awarded as specified in the Prizewinner letter that will be presented to the winner. Prizewinner accepts responsibility for all additional costs identified in the Prizewinner letter including, but not limited, to transportation, security and departure taxes, fuel, currency and energy surcharge and related fees.
  12. A contestant and the members of their household may only win one Travel Show Contest prize per year. Any contestant who attempts to be a repeat winner will be disqualified from winning on a repeat basis.
  13. All prizes must be claimed within 2 weeks from winning date from the office of CJAD, 1411 du Fort St., 3rd floor in Montreal. There are no exceptions to this rule.
  14. Each winner consents, if required, to his or her name and photo being used for publicity purposes relating to the contest without further compensation.
  15. CJAD is not responsible for any technical problems regarding phones, cellular phones, faxes, or the internet connection. If a qualifier/ winner is disconnected by technology and the information on the winner/qualifier had not been taken, CJAD reserved the right to pick another winner if CJAD has doubt concerning the identity of the original contestant.
  16. CJAD is not responsible for the bankruptcy, closure or strike of a company that is a client in the current running promotion and reserve the right to replace or not the prize.
  17. Any complaint with regard to the conduct and awarding of prizes may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec.
  18. News Talk Radio CJAD has paid the taxes for this contest according to "La Loi sur les loteries et courses du Québec Publicitaires".
  19. Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted the Régie des alcools, des course et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
