Royal Botanical Gardens – Where Colour Comes Alive
This week we escape to paradise at the Royal Botanical Gardens located around Hamilton, Burlington and the Niagara Escarpment. A National Historic Site of Canada, 2700 acres showcase some of nature's most beautiful work with indoor plantscapes and cultivated and natural lands gardens.
Discover year-round colour, from the lush indoor Mediterranean Garden in January to brilliant poinsettias in December. There are 5 gardens, 4 nature sanctuaries and year round educational programs and special events. Plus a gift shop, restaurant and more – check out www.rbg.ca.
Colour comes alive as summer unfolds in the Royal Botanical Gardens. Annual and perennial displays are living works of art, and the hybrid and centuries-old roses are spectacular in Hendrie Park. In full bloom right now are the renowned perennial borders, Medicinal Plant Garden, Scented Garden and World of Botany.
On the show this Saturday we will be giving away a trip for two including a 2-day pass to enjoy the Royal Botanical Gardens, and a night at the Travelodge Hotel in Burlington on the Lake.
