The Wonders of Winter in the Haliburton Highlands
This week on the Travel Show – just two hours north of Toronto, the Haliburton Highlands offer some of Ontario’s best winter activities,
You can snowmobile through the forests of Haliburton County. The Haliburton County Snowmobile Association is the world's largest snowmobile club. It recently partnered with other area clubs to create more than 3,200km of groomed snowmobiling trails - all under one trail pass.
For a unique adventure – try snowshoeing. For a pure adrenaline rush – challenge yourself on one of only two natural-track luge runs in Ontario. And the cross country skiing trails and the ice fishing are exceptional.
But that’s not all! This winter Sir Sams Ski Resort will open a unique “covered surface” lift. The first of its kind in Canada, it will multiply the fun for novice skiers and snowboarders by removing the dread of difficult lifts.
And a Winterdance Dogsled experience will allow you to explore Haliburton’s breathtaking wilderness in magical silence behind your team of beautiful and affectionate Siberian Huskies.
Tune in Saturday to win a trip for two to the Haliburton Highlands. Enjoy a dogsled experience with Winterdance, ski passes at Sir Sams Ski resort and one night at the Sir Sam's Inn and Waterspa, a couples’ resort and country inn.
For your chance to win, phone into the show at 514-790-0991, 1-800-491-CJAD, or *TALK on your cell, or send your question any time this week by entering the contest here online by clicking on the Yellow "Enter Contest" button.
